I like them both but Crawford has a dangerous style in which he gets hit entirely too much than he's supposed to. I will never be shocked if he loses.
I agree. The top dogs just aren't fighting each other. It's a shame. TC does get hit but Spence seems to get hit plenty too which should make for a very fun fight...if it ever happens.

Boxing had a lot of STARS that made a lot of money but not only a select few became True Crossover SUPERSTARS in the sport. So NO boxing will never become "Main Stream" in America but that doesn't mean the sport can't do well without being Mainstream
Yes it was ,in the Jack Johnson days to the late 70's it was very mainstream and on cable T.V that everyone watched ,the difference is theres more choices and hundreds of channels now so it goes unnoticed alot. Not until Ali left the sport did it dwindle ,it somewhat revived with Mike Tyson but only lasted during his reign in the 80's and went back into being a second hand sport in the U.S with the Lewis /Holyfield era.

No because US white guys don’t excel in boxing.

White doesn’t want to see black and brown dominate any combat sport.

That’s why they’d rather watch dry humping over 3 rounds than 12 of the sweet science.

It can only become mainstream here if it’s allowed in high school and NCAA competition.

Baseball, basketball and football all have that advantage. Basically, any kid in America can go play those sports for free after school gets out. That’s huge. How is anyone exposed to boxing unless their family does it?

You need a Heavyweight champion from the united states ,its always the case and always will be to carry the sport into popular culture. The problem with Wilder is hes just started to fight tough opponents and the Breazeale knockout helped a lot so did the Fury fight but were talking nearly 2019 when he got some major attention and its also because of Fury, so ? Another heavyweight would really have to come through from the ground up to make it happen ,Wilders at the tail end of his career and chances of him winning dwindle with Fury,Joshua and even close to even with old Ortiz " OLDTIZ " if you like ?

I don't know if there is one ? You have the Sonny Conto prospect a marketable knockout puncher ,Trey Morrison who has history as well ,but can these guys pull it off ? The deck is stacked against them but we'll see.

Boxing of course had some Historic Mainstream Moments for sure and AGAIN certain fighters was able to make it Mainstream but as a whole hell no boxing was never Mainstream

It was shows like ABC's Wide World of Sports

In which they would replay boxing fights while also previewing and promoting up and coming fights. This Helped the sport greatly, it also helped Ali become a Mainstream Crossover Superstar

Exactly why I think boxing needs to get back to being on FREE TV MORE. Even showing replays on Free TV Months later would be great exposure for the fighters
