That might be true. Berchelt said below he was never offered the fight.

Last week newly crowned WBO junior lightweight champion Jamel Herring took to Twitter to declare that WBC junior lightweight champion Miguel Berchelt had turned down a unification bout and that he would likely be facing his mandatory challenger next.

What bigger fish is he frying at 130?
Davis and Berchelt has been wanting to fight each other for a minute.

Berchelt been pursuing Loma for awhile too.

He has payed his dues and is ready to be paid against top competition bruh. Why should he risk his position by facing Herring? Herring needs to earn his shot. Him holding a paper title doesnt mean that he can mix it up with the best. Herring needs to do more.

            exactly. Berchelt destroys Herring.

Really disappointed we never got Berchelt-Herring. Berchelt wins easily IMO.

                Seriously?

No one is clamoring for Berchelt and Herring to unify; Herring just won his strap and was no one to anyone before that fight with Ito. Berchelt-Sosa, (Mex vs PR) probably does better numbers than Berchelt-Herring at this point.

Berchelt-Sosa and Herring-Roach are both good fights. They'll end up unifying in a fight or two, relax.

I haven't found any offer. They both accuse each other of lying.
