If this is the case, then **** the fight. You want a light heavyweight strap? Fight at the full limit. Not only are you getting the dude only 2 months after his last fight, but you also want to drain him? Gets gifted gggs belts at 160,picks up a paper title at 168 and now wants to drain kovalev at 175? This guy's whole career should have * next to it.

Smart promoting? Yes...should credit be given for legacy type reasons? Not really

Don't blame them in a way...they have the golden ticket but as fans I don't think we should really be applauding it

no argument here. Oscar did it to floyd. Floyd Manny And Cotto did it on many occasions. Nothing new.

Why would they concede this before an offer is even presented? He should have kept his mouth shut. You can bet your ass that GBP will be pursuing this now. Let's hope Canelo tells them he wants the fight at 175.

If Kovalev is being offered crazy money then we should understand his willingness to sell out. The people we should be mad at is Canelo and his people. No fan should pay for this fight.

They made an offer before he fought Yarde so maybe a catchweight was part of it. We will know the truth soon. If Canelo doesn't want a catchweight there won't be one.
