Better than that homeless Canadian bum, Rolls. Still googling him to find out who he is.
Kova is a world class p4p champ who is being avoided by everyone, except King Canelo.

There are 18 classes, but 100lb men are a joke, so let’s start with flyweight. Making it 15 classes with 4 belts per, that’s 60 champions. Kovalev is above many of them.

          Top 20.

He lost 2 controversial fights to the almost universally acknowledged P4P king in Andre Ward.

Then he did get knocked out by Alvarez, but he avenged that.

To me, only the Alvarez loss hurts him in a P4P sense to me, as there's no shame in losing controversial fights to the P4P king.

He may be number 4 in his own division if we are being honest here. He's a good fighter for sure but he's been on the decline the last few years.

The other champs at 175 are no joke, he should sign that Canelo contract the minute its sent over. He wont make any money against the guys in his division.

ward was only p4p 1 after beating kovalev which he never really did so he never really should have been #1

That's a little crazy, the guy IMO beat Ward in the first fight by a point. I think that alone warrants a top 10 or even 5 P4P ranking. Ward may have been a bit overrated P4P but he was definitely top 10

It depends on if you are judging on achievements or current level. He has 3 other champs in his division that would destroy him but he has a better resume than all of them .

Around 70? Come on man. Name 70 fighters ahead of Kovalev.... he’s in the top 10’s in my opinion. He’s had a solid rebound after the Ward fights and beat Alvarez and Yarde in good fashion.

I can put him in the top 3 as a LHW, but not top ten as P4P. Too much talent in the lower weight classes. There are about 4 or 5 at WW alone. Then you have GGG, Canelo, Loma, Mikey, Gvozdyk, Rungvisai, Estrada, Inoue, and a couple of others at least.
