Comments Thread For: Brandon Figueroa: I Want To Squeeze In One More Fight This Year

Brandon Figueroa couldn't ask for more than what's come of his 2019 campaign thus far. Of course, it won't prevent him from literally asking for just a little bit more. The unbeaten interim 122-pound titlist registered his first successful defense, stopping Argentina's Javier Chacon in four rounds atop a Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) on FS1 telecast Saturday evening in Edinburg, Texas. The bout was staged mere miles from Figueroa's Weslaco hometown, marking his third fight of the year and all with title implications at stake.

Is the WBC going to order Rey Vargas vs. Guillermo Rigondeaux? If not, then PBC should make Rigo vs. Figueroa, and put it on the Wilder vs. Ortiz under card!

I didn't like what I saw, maybe because Brandon didn't have anything to worry about. Instead of using skill, he went at it like a clumsy bull fighter, stabbing and whacking, and butchering the bull.

I am not a fan of Brandon. PBC has done a horrible job with their match making. They make him unlieable

Vargas will run just like Santa Cruz, and I doubt they will throw Fig with Rigo. even at his age the Cuban will pick this kid apart.....

If they can't get Rigo a fight with Brandon, then move him to 126, and let him fight GRJ!
