Comments Thread For: Lomachenko: I Don't Know What Happens After I Unify Division

WBA, WBO lightweight champion Vasiliy Lomachenko (13-1, 10 KOs) is taking part in his 15th professional bout on Saturday night, when he faces Luke Campbell at the O2 Arena in London. The vacant WBC lightweight title will also be at stake. And should he win, he plans to target the IBF title in order to unify the entire division.

14 professional fights and this bum is already talking about retirement. The truth is Bumchenko is washed, he knows the young-guns want that smoke and Vasily is planning his escape.

Richard Commey, Teofimo Lopez, Devin Haney, Gervonta Davis is too much for Bumchenko to handle, no way Vasily gets to 20 fights without another defeat!

        STAY DUCKING BUMCHENKO!

Retirement discussion aside - it sucks that Loma will fight next only in spring 2020 by the looks of it... too long a break.

Maybe he's using some reverse physcology saying that he might retire after unifying so these guys that are waiting him out AKA Tank will hurry up and fight him.

How can you say that he ducks when he pretty much fights the best available to him in most of his fights?

Bumchenko indirectly told his fans in this article that, hes not willing to face the top Lightweights by foreseeing a lack of motivation if he achieves his ultimate goal ( to unify the Lightweight division ), which apparently leads Bumchenko to a exist out the sport in alluding to his desired retirement.

Bumchenko is fighting Luke Campbell for the vacant WBC Lightweight titles, that leaves him with only one more fight for the IBF as Vasily currently holds the WBA-WBO 135 pound straps.

Its important to note: should Vasily accomplish to unify the division, one can clearly argue his position of lightweight champion can be disputed, as the WBC did something unprecedented ( I could be wrong ) in awarding Bumchenko a fight with a mismatched opponent, when Devin Haney should of been the one competing for it against Campbell or even Lomachenko himself.

Bumchenko continues to get a break to accomplish his goals, much of his career has been manufactured by Toprank and special favors by the sanctioning bodies.
