Kovalev and Canelo are about the same size

Sergey Kovalev is taller than Canelo Alvarez but I don’t think he’s much bigger.

The reach difference is an inch and a half. That’s nothing.

And when it comes to weight, I don’t think people realize how close they actually are.

Sergey Kovalev was fighting at 140 pounds at age 17. When Canelo Alvarez was 17, he was fighting at 147.

Sergey Kovalev was fighting at 160 at age 22. He moved to 175 later that year and never looked back. He made his pro debut at that weight at age 26 and is still at 175.

Canelo Alvarez was fighting at 154 at age 20. By age 27 had weighed 164 for a fight and by age 28 had weighed 168.

So while people are looking at this as a career light heavyweight against a small middleweight, it’s interesting to note that Canelo and Kovalev have been within a weight class of each other at similar points in their lives.

They said the same about brook and GGG.

No. It is not about height and muscles. It is about frame. Kovalev is naturally obviously bigger man.

One can make 160 easy the other struggles to make 175. Same size though.

If they're the same size make the fight at 160, see how much the thread starter cries.

Kovalev is 6ft. Canelo isnt. Not the same size. Not that itll matter cuz skills pay the bills not weight.

Well since they are the same size then catchweight and rehydration clause should be ok???
