Canelo dances on him to a UD. Possibly a KO if Kov gasses like he did in today’s fight.
Kov and Duva looking to cash out Krusher before he hangs them up.
Nov. in Vegas, get it done and I’ll be there.

I do have to say that I was seriously impressed by Kovalev's ability to recover from that. At 36, you can see he trained his ass off for that fight because he came back aggressive. His stamina might not be great but Canelo's stamina isn't particularly good itself.
That's true. Kovalev did come back to dominate after a round he was almost stopped in.

I'd still pick Canelo. Yarde's bodyshots did some damage and he really didn't land very many.

Canelo will slip the jabs, get underneath and crack him with shots to the body.

Kov looked slow and tired, only half the man he was when he fought Ward.

That's what I'm thinking. It didn't take much for Yarde to almost fold Kovalev. I cringe when I think of what Canelo's body work might do. Bad fight at this point in Kovalev's career and that's exactly why Canelo is targeting him and no one else.

Just strengthened my opinion Canelo wins. Hell I was so confident Canelo would win I didn't think Kovalev would win today to get to Canelo.

Yeah, but Yarde is a big, hard-punching light heavyweight and Canelo is a middleweight. Canelo is most likely a better body puncher, but I just think the weight class differential will cancel that out, and he's also going to be fighting a reach disadvantage and a hefty height disadvantage. I think that's going to be too much to overcome, especially against someone with a hard, fast, accurate jab like Kovalev.

Canelo is a smarter fighter than Yarde, but he'll run into some of the same issues. Yarde is bigger/longer and potentially more athletic than Canelo, but he was still having trouble getting past Kov's jab. Yes, Canelo does all of that cute head and torso movement, but his feet are not as quick as his hands and he will eat his fair share of jabs. He will eventually touch Kovalev, but people are acting like he's gonna fold Kov with the first body shot he lands. I have to see it to believe it.

Canelo's accuracy and body-punching will be keys to his victory, but he's gonna have to work for it. I agree with Qball that the most likely scenario is Canelo dancing his way to a decision victory while being slick enough to avoid utter disaster. Honestly, all he has to do is make it close and we know who the judges will lean towards. Kov has to squash him or put on a masterclass, and I don't see him doing either. Kov believes in his power so much that he'll trade occasionally, and that's where Canelo should be able to do his most damage. If he stays behind a disciplined jab, he makes Canelo's job much more difficult. Canelo is built like a tank, but he's more of a counter-puncher like Yarde. He'll need to take some risks in order to get at Kov's body.

It's a calculated risk by Canelo, but it is not a gimme fight.

Kovalev unless it's at a catchweight.

I think Canelo would have a nightmare trying to get past Kov's jab to do damage to the body.

Canelo is better than Yarde of course but Yarde is physically stronger than Canelo and was able to push Kov back at points to have success and tbh he took his shots well until he was totally spent after round 8. I don't think Canelo would be able to effectively press Kovalev back.

It's a bold move for Canelo to move up to 175 lbs but I think he's far too small for that weight class.

Canelo is very good and he could win but I give Kovalev a slight edge. It's almost a 50/50 fight to me but I'll pick Kovalev because of his great left jab, long strong straight right, and size and reach advantages. I have a feeling Canelo has trouble making 160 and will weigh about as much as Kov on fight night.

I'm not sure but I lean towards Canelo getting the win. Kov seems faded to me.
