Push the pace hasta la vista Krusher. He ll cash out against Canelo which is still an intriguing fight due to Canelo s average conditioning but he better stay away from Bivol/Gvodyk/Beterbiev cuz he ll get seriously hurt.

He needs to start running & drop a lil muscle. He's too f#cking top heavy & thats sh^t for stamina. Did well & much better then most expected. Seen plenty of people saying he was gonna be KO'd in 6 or less ffs. Meanwhile he almost took Kovalev out in the 8th.

I think the no or minimal sparring thing is fine although I'm sure 99% of mfers would disagree with me there.

Not really impressed with Yarde. He won a few rounds and had a huge 8th but Kovalev is old. What would Yarde have for the other light heavy weight champs? Doesn't look like much. Getting knocked out by a jab is not a good look!

Great fight!

Kudos to both. Yarde took a lot of punishment but he never stopped coming forward and if he keeps mentally strong he'll be a contender going forward.

Most impressive thing about Kovalev? His jab-as always but his conditioning. He was in a world of trouble in the eighth, 3/4 more punches and he'd have been on the floor but he got back to his stool and came out in the nineth determined to re-establish his jab and that was exactly what he did.

In the end it was Yarde who gassed and not Kov.

That was quite impressive... Buddy also said he was going to throw in towel if he kept getting hit... so I am sure that lit a fire.

I will say, Buddy must have been real nervous with his previous fighter dying in that fight because he took too much punishment.

Kova is a big name, but at this stage he is the worst champ in division and that`s why Canelo wants to fight him.

Kova looks old as hell. he`d better stay away from other champs.

You couldn't be more fos & its pathetic the level you stoop to too hate on a true champ volunteering to be yet again a huge underdog,Kov is fighting better than he ever has with more stamina than ever because hes listening to his great trainer

Get Yarde a decent trainer and make him spar and he could actually be decent. He looked like a brain injury waiting to happen by the 11th though.

So close yet so far away. Disappointed they didn't go hard to the body til the 7th or w/e. I had this fight over by the 7th if they'd made a body attack from round 1 a large part of their strategy. Worse part is Kovalev ****** so bad he couldn't even get Yarde out before the under so my hedge ain't even come through lol. Eh. I'll make it back when Canelo KO's this mofo to the body cuz Canelo's ring IQ is miles ahead of Yarde's & Yarde almost merked this cat.

Good fight...feel bad for Yarde honestly..it wasn't his lack of skills that got him beat, but his stamina...good fight...glad it ended like that, because being dog tired and taking big shots is not a good recipe

Yardes skills let him down too...He was the one who was getting hit more often all night. He was a bit slippery and he has a good chin and is a huge guy but his skills and stamina let him down. I thought his youth would be the deciding factor seeing how exhausted they both were mid way through the fight....but even with his youth Yarde still couldn't outlast Kovalev.
