I know it can get difficult with how some of us get a bit, and occasionally much more than a bit, invested in a fighters career or whatever it is, but in the end, what will matter most of all 30 yrs down the line, when someone is going through boxrec or something similar, is that it will say "Anthony Yarde lost..." and 99% of the time that this future scenario occurs, the someone looking at the record will look no further into it then that.

Yes, he did. He hurt Kov, and all he had to do was jab to body and set up his shots, but he started swinging wildly.

Also, he is not a smart boxer. If you're tired, why stay in Kov's range and eating shots and grinning, inviting him to hit and shaking your head? When I saw that I went back to what I was doing because I know what is coming next. I seen this played out many times. From Judah, Berto, Jermaine, Silva, etc.

You just dont let people hit on you If you can avoid it. When someone like Mayweather/ward is tired, they tie you up, take a breather and let the ref do his job.

I don't think anyone is dis*****g that. I think we have seen fights where fighters made bad decision that cost them.

Anyways, I am looking forward to see what plays out with Canelo.

Yeah I’m sure that beat down Kovalev gave him in the first 8 rounds had nothing to do with Yarde getting put to sleep. Kovalev broke him down and fought his way out of the small problem he was in. Yarde had nothing left from all those big punches he took.

Coulda woulda shoulda is 20/20 hindsight - and you just said if he was a smart boxer so that's not giving the fight away, that's called not being able to win it because the other fighter is smarter and collected himself, got back on track, used his jab, found his range, and layed Anthony out like a yard. I've seen this played out many times over 25 years.

A jab KO is pretty spectacular.
