This could backfire if he wants to put in some work from first before knocking out Yarde. Yarde will have something to say and we know Kovalev has a soft mid section. Yarde went to the Mayweather gym a couple of times and from what I heard he represented himself well. Of course sparring is sparring and fighting is different but we will see how this goes.

No favoritism in my opinion. I've been reported by Sid Knee for my opinions on some UK fighters and their manager. If Yarde was fighting somebody else, I might feel different. Just because I think he can beat Sergey, doesn't make me a fan.

Imo yarde still way to green for kovalev, very few rounds per fight, and after rewatching his last fights i got to say his opposition has been too weak, im not particularly rooting for any guy i just wanna see good fight but i gotta sat ill ve impressed with yarde if he is able to make it a close fight let alone a win
