That said I did like how serious Tunde was when they were face to face with Kovalev. Tunde looked like he was studying dude like he was a science project. So I think once its fight time they'll be in work mode and real work mode is always ready to go into plan b or c or further down if necessary. Should be interesting to see the corner during this fight.
Tunde is a character and I believe he will be on the winnig side this weekend.

Getting around an educated, long jab like Kovalev’s is easier said than done though.

Holding someone at bay for long periods with reliant on outside game against aggressive explosive fighters is even tougher, I don't believe Kovalev is physically strong enough to do that the entire time before he gets hurt himself. There's no reach advantage that's available for Kov either which a jabber usually has.I believe he's up against a faster stronger guy he hasn't met yet.

Let’s hope it isn’t a chorus of Lions in the camp!

OK let’s see how it plays out. Remember Kovalev is pretty powerful too, and Yarde’s chin has yet to be tested.

Kovalev found him pretty easy to hit with the jab dude.

Yea wasn't expecting that .wanted to see way more movement and body work early ,that cost him the fight ultimately . The only rnd he was real aggressive was the only rnd he hurt him in which was the 8th ? Kovalev was let back in the fight from a tired Yarde but that's what could happen and did.

It was the jab dude. Yarde doesn’t jab well and was being tagged by Kovalev’s from round 1. I told you getting around a good jab isn’t as easy you thought.

Kov wouldn't have a jab with the body attack though.

The more skilled fighter won. Yarde had size and youth on his side but that wasn't enough. He made Kovalev work but Kovalev won the vast majority of the rounds AND stopped Yarde....Yarde has to become a better fighter if he wants to hang with the top LHW's. Kovalev is passed is best,....maybe well passed it.
