Why the hell do GGG fans have to thank anybody but the IBF who order the damn fight. Dervy had no choice but to fight him if he wanted a chance to be IBF champ. If Dervy would not fight him then GGG would be fighting the next highest ranked middleweight in the IBF rankings for the vacant title. GTOH with your thank Haymon BS. Get it through your head that GGG is the number 1 or 2 contender by everybody including Ring magazine and all the alphabet groups.

Haymon didn't do a damn thing you moron. If he tells Dervy not to take the fight then the IBF has GGG knockout the next guy in line for the vacant title. Either way GGG will be IBF champion on October 5th. You remember the IBF world middleweight title don't you. It's the world title Canelo used to have but did not defend. One title for GGG and one less title for Canelo.

No, the fight would just go to purse bid if these two couldn't come to an agreement. Now, if he turned down the purse bid? Then yes, it then would be GGG vs next highest IBF contender. But first step would be for the IBF to send this to purse bid.

For alot of these clowns to claim they're true boxing fans, they sure don't know much about how things work. GGG would have not taken the fight if they didn't come to an agreement. No way GGG would give up money if it went to purse bid. I believe it would have been a 50/50 split

But lets be honest, no one was going to outbid dazn in the event of a purse bid, and everyone involved knew this.

If anything Haymon & Dervy might have been concerned dazn could win the purse bid at a price that would have given Dervy less than he was offered with the mandatory split.

Not really, dazn win the purse bid, pay Dervy according to the split of the bid, pay GGG his split plus whatever else his contract says on top, its not that uncommon.

That has nothing to do with what I responded to.

Yeah wasn't disagreeing with you, you were correct, I didn't mean to sound like I was arguing or dis*****g it. Just adding my take on why Dervy's side might want to avoid it going to purse bids.
