Of course age can be a factor, Golovkins past his prime. Thats life. I believe he was past his prime against Canelo, but with Gs good technical brawling abilities(?) he made both fights good fights. I think Gs intense camp took too much out of him (at that age) for that 2nd fight. Canelo sensing & realizing he couldve done more in the 1st fight - against the older past prime guy - upped the ante by being more aggressive in the 2nd. The rest is another saga in past prime history....

I agree, he should finish Dev quickly, disagree that he's the best ever. His resume of fighters tells a different story.

GGG is the strong favorite is he not?

Trainer is just saying that he knows the excuses will follow if his guy gets the upset and he wants to get full credit.

GGG's age and recent fights were factored into him being the favorite.

“I don’t want any excuses about it,” Rozier said before a press conference Thursday at Madison Square Garden. “We’re training for the best Triple-G that we can actually get in the ring with. And ‘The Technician’ is gonna be on point. He’s gonna be ready to win this fight and he’s gonna take [Golovkin] to task, because it’s his time to do it. And when he does that, the first person that says, ‘Well, Triple-G was old,’ I’m gonna have to slap him myself.” - Andre Rozier

LMMFAO! You should smack jim lampley cuz he was starting that bullshet talk & the dumb weak fan base ran with it!
