BoxingScene.com has been advised that former bantamweight champion Luis "Pantera" Nery (30-0) is now being trained by Eddy Reynoso of Jalisco, Mexico. Reynoso of course is best known for his work as the long time trainer of superstar Saul "Canelo" Alvarez. Salvador Rodriguez of ESPN Deportes first reported the news.

Nery needs to turn his punches over. If E R can do that for him great, otherwise what is Reynoso bringing to the table here? With both Nery and Valdez I don't know if he hinders or helps improve. Valdez woulda won his last fight anyway and he looked very uncomfortable in the ring. I like both those fighters hope they made the right decision.
