I like Wilder better than Floyd. He fought the best in the Division Already. Floyd will put a lot of obstacles before he fought the top opponents.

The only thing they have in common is that they are both black.

I don't believe much of what you said is true. Wilder isn't much like Floyd as a boxer or a person. Mayweather is a much better fighter with far more accomplishments. Mayweather fought much better competition from The start and Wilder spent most of his years as champion fighting guys boxrec ranked between 20th and 40th before he finally fought Ortiz and Fury. Mayweather made many times more money and was a lot quieter and layed back than Wilder who seems to be yelling all the time. I think you make too big a deal of Wilder getting hate because he is black. I am white and I don't hate him. He is great to watch because he hits so hard and fast. The things I don't like are all his yelling and bragging and sometimes disrespecting other boxers and that would not change if he was white. Anyway he has stepped up the quality of his opponents and become a good champion I can root for. I hope he knocks Fury out and I think he will.

Well I’ve seen plenty of hate comments for both of them because they have domestic cases

I think he can continue to get more popular doe.
Heavyweight careers are a bit different, though.

Vitali and Wladimir both fought into their early 40's (with neither looking all that spent in their final fights), and Lennox got to his late 30s before walking away as undisputed champion.

Barring injury, Wilder easily has a good 5-7 prime years before decline maybe comes in (and Wilder's style, plus the minimal wear of an amateur career, may extend that prime window by a couple of years).

Floyd's run, as profitable as it's been, only ran 8 years from Oscar to Berto, before Floyd basically positioned himself for high-profile exhibitions for the rest of his run (Conor, Tenshin, etc if the money is right).

Not saying he has the same run, but don't dismiss it

It has been decades since the Heavyweight division has seen a fighter with the personality, and the physical talent of Wilder.

His story is amazing, got into boxing because of his daughter's illness, won a Bronze Medal with virtually zero experience, and quickly developed into one of the greatest knockout artist boxing has ever seen.

Wilder's lack of experience has always been evident, so what he has done, with all the so called prospects that have crashed and burned is remarkable.

Wilder is the new George Foreman, except he has old Georges personality in his prime.

So why all the hate? Why is it, that whenever his name appears on this forum, an army of people post childish pet names for him, or dedicate entire profile emojis to insulting him?

The hate is real, passionate, and deep seeded.

After a quick review, I realized many of the people who hated Mayweather, and posted craziness on this site at the simple mention of his name, have now transferred the hate to Wilder, splice in some keyboard warrior nationalists from the UK, and you have the biggest wagon of haters in all of sports, I think Tom Brady might compare, but the Wilder hate is worldwide.

              Why is this?

Well, he is African American, outspoken, and rich, just like Mayweather was, Wilder will never be Mayweather in the ring, but he has filled the gap outside of it.

Look for yourself, look at every Wilder article comment section that quotes him on the record being confident over the last two years, that research makes my point for me.

Wilder represents something that people have had an issue with since Jack Johnson boxed, he is not demur, he is not quiet, he does not accept knowing him place, and because of that, he is hated.

AJ is not seen as a brotha the same way Wilder is, which is why most of his fanbase is white, which is fine, but the truth.

Wilder might not be the next big thing, and he certainly is not Ali, but right now, he is the most explosive, physically talented HW since the 70's, mabye further back than that, and on top of that, he is a good dude, ask around, see what other people say, he is beloved by the boxing community, even his opponents.

Do me a favor, imagine if Wilder was white, what would the reaction to his rampage over the HW division be?

Different than all of this chaos I can promise you that.

Half of the reason floyd made so much money, was because of race, look at his opponents, the biggest fights were against white, or mexican fighters, race fueled those promotions, and many of the haters that flocked to Mayweathers name whenever it was evoked.

Wilder is not perfect, but all in all, he is a good dude, the hate towards him is tribal, irrational, certainly not based on who he is as a person, more based on what he looks like, and his confidence in himself.
              Similarities are;

              1. Undefeated
              2. Outspoken
              3. Large social media following
              4. Controversial

Wilder is now starting to get bigger purses and more money.....

Yes, Wilders team carefully pick his opposition. They have gone from cherry picking nobodies to keep him safe they are now looking for big name fighters who are not in good condition but would still look nice on his resume cuz they got sick of people criticizing the amount of crap names on his resume.

That sounds a bit like Floyd. Its the American way baby.

You're obviously on point with HW longevity I just don't see it happening at an elite level for Wilder for too much longer. His power is obviously not going anywhere anytime soon but I tend to believe his athletism is what is truly the secret of his success and I think that will be if it's not already tapering off. No way Wilder has 7 years give or take of elite level boxing in him.

some of these threads, cmon. Wilder is some kind of bizarre Oddbod reject twin of Mayweather that ended up with all the wrong genes.
