So - GGG gets slighted for beating 'bums' like Macklin, Monroe, Brook, Lemieux etc...

My friend...I told you that in my threads I expect people to behave with dignity and in a civilized manner...if you cannot debate like a gentleman and refrain from name-calling to those who disagree with you...I will unfortunately have to block you..you are 65 years old...you should act your age.
Consider this your last warning, bucko...no but in all seriousness I will probably block you unless you start acting like a human being and refraining from insults and poor form...your call...Comment

stop trying to slink out the back door
answer the question... it is simple to understand, and reasonable
why does Barkley need TWO great wins... if you are willing to call lil'G a ATG... despite the fact that he has 0 great wins?Comment

then why did you say this..... ?
answer the simple, reasonable, question..."can you name 1 guy that Barkley beat, besides Hearns? If he was so great surely you can find another good name?"

He beat Nelo twice in my eyes...and many others...as mentioned most greats rarely ever have more than a few fights against other greats in their era...maybe 3-4 fights and they usually go 2-2...GGG in my eyes is 2-0...that's what I saw so that's how I evaluate his career.
I don't even know what point you are attempting to make...and I don't think you do either lol...the point was that Hearns and Hagler, as great as they were, were even in their 3 or 4 'great' fights...G is 2-0 in my book...and Hearns and Hagler had 2 'bad' losses each to quality but not great fighters in 10-15 quality/non-great fights...G has 0 of those in about 15 fights.
I feel all of that is very impressive for G and to try and slight him for handling business against guys like Monroe Sr Watts and Barkley, and then giving other ATGs like Hagler and Hearns a pass when they drop a couple of those is a bad look imo.
If G had dropped a couple fights in that run of 15 non Jacobs/Nelo fights he would still be a great fighter...just as Hearns and Marvelous are still great.Comment

This is why Im against a third fight.
Barring an absolute one-round colossal slaughter of david vs goliath proportions, the triple-she goons are just going to continue making excuses, spinning tales of folklore about some gnomish looking creature, witnessing things that never happened, and descending down the spiral of madness.
Ignore them and their god and maybe, maybe theyll just go away.Comment

Right. I always hear how a fighter fought nothing but bums yet somehow made it to the top? Who are all these great fighters that were avoided? Where are they now? GGG is old so if there were great mw’s he ducked they should still be around? At least the guy had a crazy ko streak. I’m just waiting to hear about the insane MW fights I missed somehow that would make ggg look like a chump.100 percent agree. The old time greats get a pass for losing to bums but somehow they'll destory GGG and ko him in 3. Yah okay R-E-TARDS.
Let's not forget ggg is one of the few fighters in history at 37 approaching 38 to compete on the highest levels. Most all time . greats at that age were getting koed bad by bums. Consistency matters.Comment
