While I think he should go get his money, as far as Legacy...it is NOTHING for him over on DAZN to build his legacy upon. Neither Prograis or Taylor signed exclusively with DAZN. Him and Jose Ramirez both with Robert Garcia so that is never happening.

I like Mikey but he is in a strange position...too small for 147 right now and 140 doesn't have a anybody he can make a BIG FIGHT with other than Prograis IF he beats Taylor

Get your money though, seems like it is a decisions of do you build a legacy or do you go and build generational wealth and take the money from DAZN while fighting Jack Catterall, Chris Algeri or whoever they can find for now for a lot of money

I certainly don't want Mikey to be just forgotten after losing to Spence Jr. which is does kinda feel like that is what is happening sadly. Was hoping he would jump in with Danny Garcia and try to pull that one of but it is dangerous for him at 147, those are some BIG Welterweights who can Punch. Danny won't be easy for him, neither would Ugas!

Mike shouldn't have talked it up soo much. He didn't even try to win which is the biggest issue.
He would have got way more respect if he had of at least tried and gone out swinging.
Worst Quitter this year and that includes AJ.

If he goes to 140 he needs to go to top Rank. They're going to sign the winner of Regis/Taylor and they have Ramirez. And Mikey said he could go down to 135 after making 140. So there's the Lomachenko fight.

This fool is another star that don't shine, four titles in different weight divisions ,all against the weakest opposition. He's nothing but smoke and mirrors.

Mikey vs Pacman is the Battle of Big Heads! But Mikey should accept half of what the old man is getting.

He better be prepared to fight whoever John Skipper wants him to fight, he won't be able to choose his opponents like he has been doing thus far. He doesn't have the leverage Canelo does. DAZN will be dictating who he fights and when he fights.

... the idea is to fight the best opponents available...

He appeared broken to me. He didn't come to compete. You can't win when you just simply refuse to try. It was a fight that he demanded and said he wanted but he did not show up for it.
Look Mikey was overmatched and overwhelmed by Spence from the get-go! Yes Mikey demanded this fight but anyone with any real boxing knowledge knew Mikey was making a mistake taking this fight.
Mikey challenged himself but he failed miserable. It's boxing, it's a sport, it happens!
I don't see it or take it as Mikey quitting. He was just overmatched and there really wasn't much he could of done in the ring besides throwing non-stop haymaker's and hoping one of them knocked Spence out and we all knew including Mikey himself that that wasn't gonna happen.
I really believe that Mikey thought he could beat Spence by outboxing him but it's like Mike Tyson Said,.... "Everyone has a plan till you get hit",.....
Once Mikey was in the ring with Spence and got hit by him and saw how Spence was moving and outboxing him Mikey realized there wasn't much he could do but survive. Yeah he fucced up taking the fight but this is boxing. You win some, you lose some,..

Good textbook B+ fighter, but I never understood what people saw when they had him way up in their P4P rankings. Doesn't have the foot speed & athleticism to beat the cream of the crop guys IMO. Certainly not a guy worth getting in a bidding war over.
I would tend to agree with you, but there's one moment: Loma kept naming Mikey as his hardest possible fight. And Loma is quite accurate at his predictions. So at least he sees something in Mikey - maybe it's his timing and power. Otherwise I would've called Mikey just a smart cherrypicker that found a way to sneak through divisions and yet failed only once.
