Comments Thread For: Amanda Serrano To Be Honored at Newark P.R. Day Parade

A superfight with Katie Taylor is still waiting in the wings, but Amanda Serrano continues to find plenty of ways to make headlines all on her own. The seven-division titlist has already been honored by Guinness Book of World Records along with being named Athlete of the Year during the 2019 annual Puerto Rican Day Parade this past June in New York City. Also thrown into the mix was her being selected to throw the ceremonial first pitch during a New York Mets game earlier this summer.

    Good for her. Big fan.

The only thing is I'm scared that that weight hopping will hurt her.

Remember what it did to Roy Jones

One of my favorite fighters and much deserving of all the shine coming her way!

I think she can beat Katie Taylor if the weight jumping doesn’t hurt her too much, like Persoon who IMO should’ve gotten the nod against Katie, Amanda can throw at a high volume with lots of pressure but with power!

Persoon nearly stopped Taylor in the last round but Serrano must get past Hardy who’s really tough and never stops!
