It's unfortunate that both fighters in their primes lacked top competition or an elite opponent.
Fighters like Oscar and Shane had each other besides Trinidad, Forrest, Quarte and a few other top opponents.
At MW, Hopkins had Roy Jones , Trinidad and Glenn Johnson.
It seems both Floyd and Golovkin were both unlucky to have no elite opponent when they were dominating their divisions.

What weak divisions did Floyd dominate? 130 wasnt weak when he was there, 135 wasnt weak and he beat the best guy there. 140? That has to be the weakest one but he wasnt really there for long. 147 was one of the best divisions in boxing when Floyd dominated it.

I was focusing on Floyd's WW reign 2005-2015.
Floyd defated severai fighters who weren't good WW's.
        Fighters like:
        Maidana 4-3 at 147
        Guerrero 6-5 at 147
        JMM 3-2 at 147
        Hatton 1-2 at 147
        Judah 9-6 at 147
        Mitchell 2-2 at 147
FM legacy fight at 147 was Pac when they were both 5 years beyond the sell by date.
Floyd had wins over Berto and Ortiz both natural welters.
He also defeated Mosley who was 39 and had lost 5 times.
As far as the division itself it was weak compared to when Oscar and Mosley were in their prime.
Not Floyd's fault but that's just the fact.

          Jmm
          Mosley
          Manny

were all p4p 2,3 when floyd fought them

why even mention floyd and GGG in the same breath???

Floyd had more fights outside of 147 then he had at 147

take a honest look at Oscar and Mosley's ww resume and tell me who they beat

he didnt have weak divisions he had weak matchmaking. when baldomir was on top he was happy to stick around. other guys came around...no thanks. oh he came back to fight old mosley and pac great! then thurman and spence came around no thanks!

just look at a guy like mosley. he fought prime oscar twice, prime forrest twice, prime winkey twice, prime cotto, prime margarito, prime floyd, prime pac, and prime canelo. compare that to some old guys and baldomir laughable. but he won them all well sort of so i guess thats better?
