Margarito & Cotto on Showtime on Dec. 2nd!!!

Dont know if this has already been posted but they will fight different guys in a double header. I guess that pretty much means Floyd will fight Baldy which Im ok with since so many now seem to think that Baldy will give him alot of trouble and can even beat him.

For all of you who talk all this **** about Margarito, he better step up and fight someone good. Anyone can call out Floyd but do you fight the elite guys to get to Floyd. Callazo, Zab, Quintana, Williams, and a bunch of other great fighters will fight Margarito.

Last we heard he was going to fight sorry ass Cosme Rivera. If he does that then I dont want to hear any more **** about Margarito because his resume is a joke and Rivera is another joke. All he has to do is beat one good guy and then people will want to see him and everyone will demand that the top guys fight him. Rivera has 9 losses but unlike Baldy, he has had alot of losses recently and was just KO by Zab in the 3rd round a few fights ago and was dropped twice in the 1st round. Thats not good enough.

Floyd fights Baldy in November. Mosley will definatly have a tuneup with Floyd and no one else will fight Floyd in Febuary. Floyd said the whole time that all Margarito has to do is beat someone. If Margarito beats any of those guys that I named then Floyd will have to fight him or he will look like a fool.

Hopfully Cotto will fight someone decent but since its a double header then chances are he's fighting a bum. If anything he should be the one that fights Rivera since its his 1st fight but Cotto definatly needs to step it up because people were ripping Hatton but Cotto is starting to be another Hatton

cotto isnt another hatton. hatton has 41 wins and no losses against decent opposition. cotto has less than thirty wins. cotto has a few more fights in him before he needs to "step it up" if he steps it up now he could get beated and have a hard time getting back up.

Yeah but Cotto has taken on tougher opposition earlier. He has already fought DeMarcus Corley; Abdullev; and Paulie. The first real test Hatton had was against Tsyzu. But I see your point. If Hatton is in fact moving down... Cotto should challenge Urkal for the vacant title.

Margarito has a title, so there's no reason for him to not be able to find a decent opponent. Either unify with another champ or drop it. He could fight Collazo for example.

just because hatton fought guys that you havent heard of doesnt mean they werent quality.

Dude you act like what Hatton did is the standard. There are alot of guys who were fighting the top guys in there early 20's of age and wins. Chico and Floyd fought eachother when they were both just 23 and Chico was 33-0 while Floyd was just 24-0

I didn't say that Hatton's opponents weren't quality. IMO, and its only my opinion, Cotto was tested with sligtly tougher opposition earlier. Cotto has also fought Lovemore N'Dou (tough contender); Victoriano Sosa; Maussa (while he was undefeated) and Kelson Pinto. Hatton also fought some similar level competition but I just thought his career was brought along more gradually. Not an insult just my observation.

not really, i think more of what i am saying is that opponents and thier name recognition differ based on the location of the fighters. hatton is what 27 and he is 41 and 0. and i will say it again. just because we dont know all of the guys he beat it doesnt mean they werent good opponents.

Margarito better find someone better then him even if its just a prospect because I think Quintana and Williams have shown to be better prospects then the highly overrated Cintron who had a life & death struggle with a shot Teddy Reid in the fight before Margarito

If they were good opponents, people would have some idea who they are. The best opponents Hatton fought were Sharmba Mitchell leftovers...
