It's about time the gridlock at 147 was broken. Spence and the rest of the top tier level of fighters IMO have been woefully inactive and under-challenged with few exceptions.

The sad thing is even if Spence does plough his way through the political and bureaucratic hurdles and manage to become undisputed WW champ, it won't be for long.

Gone are the days of undisputed champions, with the exception of being so well branded, have recognised cross-over appeal, make everyone invested a tidy profit and have longevity.

Nothing has changed except more people have their hands out, and there are more mediums to satisfy and manage.

So before the IBF strip him prematurely, the WBA crown two other champions, and the WBC does something unpredictable we can enjoy a few fights, hopefully of excellent calibre.
