The LA Time writer who wrote the Boxing is dead article...

He was gloating today because of the horrible attendance of tonight's Top Rank card in L.A. He's the LA Times boxing writer but didn't bother to show up and cover the fight

Even Crawford decided to go to UFC tonight

The ratings should go pretty well from people stumbling around trying to fight the UFC fight

The UFC card in Anaheim was dope as hell, and very well promoted by ESPN. This Top Rank card was garbage, and gave away a lot of tickets.

LOL at the overrated "mexican fan base" getting exposed once again. I am tired of hearing mexicans saying they run boxing or how they're keeping boxing alive when 90% of cards that have mexicans as the main event can't sell at all.

LOL! Notice how Top Rank dimmed the lights to hide all those empty seats in that stadium. The mexican fan base is one of the most illusory memes boxing has ever seen.

Boxing will be here when he’s dead and gone. MMA is already taking a hit, and now their biggest star is going to jail for sucker punching a 90 year old man who didn’t even wobble.

boxing isnt dead. its just going through some changes right now. some companies may die off in the process.

i do see his point tho. no one was at that show last night. and only 1700 showed up for the top rank show last week. with dazn and pbc closing in, they need to do better. a lot better.

I just read his article. He's a true douche but, I see nothing wrong with this article, except for him saying Boxing is Dead.

I watched the telecast yesterday. When Rivera was fighting, attendance looked like it was for one of the early undercard fights, but Rivera was the fight before the main event. Not a good look for boxing.

Was another fight canceled for this card? Navarrete against a no-name and Magdaleno vs a gatekeeper isn't interesting.

And that event is coming after the one, which had Sosa headlining lol (Frampton was supposed to be the headliner though).

I think this thread needs deleting, and threads entitled 'Is boxing dying' 'Boxing is Dead' or any other whiny type threads need to be outlawed from the entire forum.

It takes ZERO creativity, and adds absolutely NOTHING to the forums 'I don't want to see these vapid threads anymore'.
