A press conference ebing held does not always mean a fight was agreed to

Frank Warren could be set for some awkward questions, after it emerged that Dereck Chisora's announced fight with Deontay Wilder has yet to be officially agreed.

Warren and Chisora announced the intriguing heavyweight meeting on Thursday, with the fight set for June 15. But it appears the contest may not go ahead, with complications arising from Wilder's recent arrest meaning travelling to the United Kingdom for the Wembley Arena meeting may not happen.

Wilder's promoters, Golden Boy, told ESPN that no deal had been confirmed - saying that Warren had "jumped the gun" in making an announcement.

"No, no deal. They jumped the gun," Golden Boy matchmaker Eric Gomez told ESPN. "There's issues with Deontay traveling, because of the arrest. I asked them not to announce until it is resolved. They didn't listen."

Blast from the past. I don't even remember Wilder-Chisora being discussed. Looks like Wilder fought Liakhovich instead. That was a brutal knockout.

The Hearn press conference last week, wasn’t a presser to me. I was expecting both fighters there. That was a sales pitch. I really can’t call that a presser.

Pressers don't require fighters ,they require promoters and/or executives in charge of the event. Larry thinks the thread holds evidence but it actually shows no fight can officially be announced unless a contract is provided and that's why this Chisora fight was never official but the undercard was. Ha Obvioulsy A side Andiie wasn't going there and therefor it was a brief announcement to tell team Ruiz this is what you got.
