Very likely Ruiz stops Wilder. We saw what happened when Ortiz landed some big shots. Well, Ruiz is not 40 years old and he is in better condition than ortiz.

I like Ruiz .... But Wilder is a different animal.

Wilder comes into the ring mean, angry and ready to take a scalp. Much different from the jolly, smiling and over-confident Joshua.

When Wilder see's you stunned by a shot, he's coming after you in a totally different mode, with the windmills blazing. I have yet to see that fire and monster-mode with AJ - Wilder has that monster-mode down and you will see it if you fight him.

Ruiz is one tough sob. I'll admit I didn't think he would beat AJ but after watching that fight I don't see how AJ can put him to sleep. Ruiz will come forward no matter what. Even when he got put down he just came forward and was completely undeterred. You have to put him to sleep or he keeps coming. AJ can't do that. He might try to jab and dance around the ring to extend the fight a bit longer but he will lose the exchanges because Ruiz's punches are shorter, quicker and more accurate. I don't think AJ took him lightly. He just got beat up because he couldn't get the better of the exchanges. He could land significant blows but would pay the price for it because Andy stays in the pocket and returns fire.

Only reason Ruiz won was that AJ underestimated a fat lard and closed the distance himself and was sloppy AF, got nailed hard and was concussed.

Likely the scribes are asking Ruiz about how the Wilder fight would go. Because... ahem... he has ONE fight now that decides his future as an elite at HW: Joshua. I think Anthony takes this fight more seriously than he's taken any other before it. His haters will say he doesn't have it in him, he's a phony, etc etc. My take is he prepares 500% better, shows up in the best condition ever... mentally and physically, stays on the outside, uses his jab, busts up Ruiz and stops him mid/late rounds. Just my 37 cents worth. We all have opinions and behinds. There's mine.

AJ isn't a master boxer though. He can't outbox anyone. He is what he is. A muscle bound guy that relies on his power to hurt his opponent. When that power doesn't work he struggles. Fury, a guy that can box, played with Wlad. Joshua had to go to war to secure that victory. AJ will get on the horse and keep distance but that isn't really his bread and butter. He needs to get in and land that right hand but when he does Ruiz will send something back his way. Sloppy technique isn't something that will get cleaned up in one fight. Its a habit that has been formed over his career. He has gotten away with it because it has resulted in him getting knock downs or KOs for the most part. When pressed, he will revert back this habit.
