One of the true ATGs. Always high on the lists of best welterweights of all time. Sweet style and great technique. A great Cuban champion who repped his adopted country of Mexico with pride. Jose was called “Mantequilla” because he was smooth as butter.

Que descanses en paz, campeón. Rest In Peace, champ.
