There are probably plenty of young, active boxers who know next to nothing about boxing history or the greats of the past.

So many kids nowadays, even smart kids, don't read books, magazines, or anything more than a couple of paragraphs long, either online or off. And if they watch boxing videos on youtube, it's going to be the recent fights they are interested in.

And the fact is, you don't need to know anything about the history of a sport to be good at it yourself, if you have talent and a decent coach.

He is extremely overrated by many on this board almost like a cult. One poster calls him Emperor Canelo and another poster named himself Godnelo. In the world outside this boxing board most think GGG beat him twice and got robbed. He is very good but not as good as some are making him.
