Is that right, I'm not from the US so wouldn't know, but didn't Trump actually lose the popular vote, i.e. more people actually voted for Hilary Clinton.

And she seems about as popular herpes, but still more people voted for her than Trump? Maybe he is more popular since he became president?

He won the most people in the most states. That's how you become president. He was and still is wildly popular outside of New York and California.

Hillary Clinton just had more votes because the entire state of California voted for her and that's the most populous state. That's where Hollywood is so everyone there smokes weed and jacks off to ****** and gay sex. Hillary Clinton is like an idol to them there. The rest of the country doesn't really take California too seriously and thats why their votes don't count as much. If you let them pick the president by popular vote Bruce Jenner would probably be running the country in a few years. Since you can't have druggies and burnouts electing the president, their votes aren't weighted equally. That state is in a tremendous amount of debt and is actually a drag on the entire country. Many of the other states are actually fiscally responsible and actually have surpluses.

In the US at the federal level the election is determined by the electoral college system, they just don't add up all the votes in one count. So for example within some states you could win 51% of the vote or 99% of the vote and get the same electoral college votes, which is what determines who becomes president is the US.

Ultimately, Trump received 304 electoral votes and Clinton garnered 227, as two faithless electors defected from Trump and five defected from Clinton. Trump is the fifth person in U.S. history to become president while losing the nationwide popular vote.

So yeah, more American people voted for Hilary than Trump, but that isn't the competition, its to win the most states/college votes.
