Why don't the mandatory challengers for each organizations fight each other instead when there are unification fights around the division? I know there's a rotation, but that reduces the need to have a mandatory defense each year...

There's looming unification fight tourney managed by Haymon and you talk about mandatories smh

I understand it's to grow the sport but mentioning mandatories when unification fights are ongoing leaves a bad taste.

Unifications should be encouraged

Kinda sucks that unification with Manny wont happen now. IBF belt has mandatory. Spence/Porter winner has to fight that mandatory by March or lose the belt. Crawford has mean machine on his to-do list. Meanwhile Danny vs Mikey talks are ongoing.

No Danny. No Mikey. No Spence. No Porter. No Crawford.

Lady Luck smiles on Thurman. Guess he's getting that rematch after all.
