That's a bit strong i'd say. If AJ beats Wilder and Fury he'd have a better resume than Lennox quite soon.

For some reason Lennox Lewis gets very overrated nowadays. I remember when he retired. He was considered a great heavyweight, but really mostly because Tyson and Holyfield aged before he got to them.

Nowadays it seems like Lewis is considered some super great heavyweight.

I understand it, but really looking at his resume it's not like he beat great heavyweights in their prime.

For those who don't know. Lewis' animosity started after Joshua rejected Lewis' promotional/managerial and other(!) advances.

Are you sure about that? McCall and Raham would disagree. Even Bruno was beating the brakes off Lennox Lewis until one punch changed the fight in the 6th rd and Bruno was never the boxer AJ is.

Lennox Lewis has always been an uppity clown and a jealous moron. I still don't know why he's still mad that British fans never embraced him. He represented Canada at the Olympics for fu..ck sake. And when he came back to the UK, rather than continue to embrace the people and build a rapport - he decided to call Frank Bruno an Uncle Tom. That was what further ostracised him from most Brits. However, he'd gain the support of Brits after he was cheated in America in his first fight against Holyfield. He needs to be happy with that and move on.

AJ represented the UK at the world championships and Olympics and he singlehandedly put British boxing back on the map. So it's expected that the public will love him.

Lennox will either have to accept AJ or kill himself because AJ is already the 2nd greatest British heavyweight (might even be boxer) of all time. And once he becomes the undisputed, he's going to surpass Lennox and be in a league of his own.

It's about time, in the midst of all the disparaging remarks from Lewis - AJ has still maintained a level of respect for Lewis. Why should he do that when Lewis will bash him at any opportunity.
