Ruiz HAS SIGNED to fight Joshua. BOTH PARTIES have signed.

And he's getting paid what he agreed in the rematch clause.

“Andy Ruiz got one of the greatest gifts of all time,” said Hearn. “He was picked off the list of fighters to fight Anthony Joshua for multi-million dollars, where he hadn’t earned a tenth of that in the past, and he got a shot at the world heavyweight title,” said Hearn. Unfortunately for him or fortunately, that comes with a water-tight rematch clause with all the information set for within. By the way; that rematch clause was negotiated by him and his team. So they were over the moon with that deal. Since he won, all his mates are telling him, ‘you should be getting this, and you should be getting that.’ So really, he’s probably not happy he’s got to fight Anthony Joshua again [for the money that he’s contractually being paid]. Contractually, he has to.

So does he want more money for the fight? Absolutely. Do we have to give it to him? Absolutely not! But we will make sure he’s happy, and respected as a world champion. I like Andy Ruiz. He has an obligation as a man to honor what he agreed, and what he signed,” said Hearn.use. Hearn verified BOTH PARTIES have signed the contract.

This interview is the funniest interview ever, lol.

You omitted where Hearn took a dig at Ruiz and said Ruiz wants his own plane to fly all the ***elry he bought since the last fight to Saudi Arabia, loooool.

Ruiz is a classic example of why education is important or perhaps he's just punch drunk. The fat Mexican won one fight, got a couple of millions and suddenly thinks he's Floyd Mayweather, lool. I'm sure when he was broke, he used to watch Mayweather's instagram pictures and dream big, hence the first thing he did after getting his first big pay cheque is to buy ***elry, rolls royce and a mansion. Now he thinks he's the A-side and the guy running things, when he has already signed his life away, lol.

Once he signed the first contract - he already signed the rematch.

Worst part of the interview is where Hearn says that Ruiz is scared of Joshua, lol. He got off the Canvas and battered Joshua until he quit. laughable comment from Hearn. If Ruiz was scared he would have gone into his shell after the knockdown, he did the opposite.

I’m sure Andy is terrified of Joshua.

Just like Terrance Crawford is terrified of Amir Khan.

Lol a "watertight" rematch where Eddie cops to Cardiff being ruled out cuz Andy said on Twitter he didnt want to fight over there cuz of that sketchy ass Whyte situation.

Andy CLEARLY has leverage. And the only signing off on this Dec. 7 date and venue Andy did is via signing of the NY fight that included a rematch clause that likely had few specifics cuz Eddie gave no specifics when asked numerous times about specifics. Boxing contracts so mfing sketchy sometimes promoters f#ck themselves by leaving so many details unspecified in situations like this one.

                  Makes sense.

I think a lot of the hold up in announcing was down to the negotiation of new contract! I think that Ruiz picked so many holes in the first contract that this one was really scrutinized by both parties.

Trilogy fight written all over it, in Mexico City.
