One of the fights that I wanted and never got. Too close to call.

One thing was Hopkins took Pavlik's soul and he was done with boxing.

Pavlik was a force at MW but never carried it up. Froch UD, narrow but clear and not without several danger moments for both.

Pavlik was better boxer and hit harder, Froch was more durable. SD win for Pavlik

i ll tel you something. if hopkins would have come across the pavlik who went against taylor he would have had to go to davy jones locker deep to get that win. i ve always associated the punishment that pavlik got vs miranda and taylor x2 with him going off the rails prior the hopkins fight ( drinking etc.)
