The same Eddie Hearn who slagged off (rightly so) the recent Saudi show with Amir Khan. Yeah, this fight is much better, but away from the fight, the show was horrendous. Fact. I like Eddie, he's charismatic, biased toward his guys, sure, but understandable. But this SA show is a pure money grab and imo, shows a lack of faith in AJ winning. Green K me. The TBE/goat of this page. Bow down.Comment

DAZN does not control its fighters like Al Haymon does. They dont tell Anthony Joshua what to do, he is not signed exclusively to DAZN. Im sure DAZN would of loved for the fight to be staged in the States again but it isnt which shows they have no say.
Fight is in Saudi, i dont know what that does to the time its aired in the UK or US but it is what it is. Maybe nobody in America bothers to pick this one up cuz of the time slot, who knows, who cares.Comment

You guys are really a special breed I see.... America no matter if you like it or not is the marquee market of the world which is why Hearn brung Joshua over in the first place to try and tap in or did you forget? Secondly I specifically stated about the America market and dazn having to compete with one of the most watched day in sports besides the super bowel in America with people tuning in to see the conference championship games will be hard to bring in new subscriptions and grow in a market they want to grow in...... What exactly makes this some fight some special event that could convince Americans which is the market I referred to to turn off the SEC/Bigten championship games? Joshua/Ruiz is not no Ali/foreman type of fight that the world going tune everything out to see so pipe down on the tooting of the horn you attempting to doComment

How Eddy gets people to sign these contracts is a mystery to me. It says right there. They're not getting any money now, and if they win, they're not getting any money later. They are snared in Hearns web, he makes 4 heavyweight titles feel like a ball and chain. Andy should give those titles back just to get rid of Hearn. He's not making any money off of them anyway, Hearn will see to that. What's the point? We saw what Andy did, give Hearn his precious belts back that he schemed so much, and he payed so much to get, but he can't milk, because of Andy.Comment

Eddie when he's asked why treat the fans this way and not have it in the UK pic.twitter.com/jNDIIAwLmU

As this is a World event, 95% of viewers won't have a clue what you are talking about.Comment

Some of you guys worried about being Groupies for Promoters
For me, I only care about the fighters so in this case I truly hope Saudi does invest more into getting boxing, that would be GREAT for the fighters and a great option for fighters to go make more money! So yeah I hope everything does work out great!
That being said, I would much rather they make Andy happy to assure that the event goes on instead of trying to be arrogant and ignorant about it and trying to FORCE his hand. Yeah Andy could say "Ok Find I will honor the contract" and give in but weeks into training camp all of a sudden Andy is screaming...

FIGHT CANCELED! What he gonna do sue him for getting injured? So this is a very dangerous game to play for Eddie as far as the "You Signed The Contract So You Must Do What I Tell You" approach. Make sure he shows up and give him what he wants to avoid any issuesLast edited by sicko; 08-12-2019, 02:09 PM.Comment
