They have been avoiding each other.
... "just like it happens at 147" with Haymon's fighters?... well... the 168 division isn't "owned" by him...

... the top fighters at 168 are signed with Arum and Hearn... (and Eubank Jr. is "independent...)

I expect he will as he gets older.

I think it's a good interval between MW and LHW, there's a lot of guys who fit in there nicely. The Brits like it because a lot of men are around that size in Britain (and Ireland). We max out at large sizes, I'm an anomaly in Ireland being short, 5'10"-6'0" is average height here.
I’d pick him to beat Smith and BJS. But it seems like you need to sign a multi fight deal with DAZN to get a shot at a matchroom belt these days. But Benevidez/Plant should be a fun fight with zero roadblocks.

And my issue with 168 is just based on weight percentages. The weight classes move up in percentages, 147-154-160-175-200 makes sense, it keeps the pattern. Throwing 168 in there doesn’t IMO

Who’s with Arum? BJS just signed with Hearn.

... now Hearn "owns" Callum Smith and BJS... but also Hearn can't make business with the Eubanks (who already ducked a contracted fight vs GGG)... and David is with Arum (ESPN)...

Benavidez and Zurdo (who already went up, but he is still ranked at 168)...

Benavidez-Plant is a good gauge for both men, there should be nothing that gets in the way of making that happen soon.

I think 168 is fine, it suits it fine, especially seeing as the jump from 147-154-160 is uneven too. The current weight classes in boxing make sense to me overall. Although the jump from strawweight to light flyweight is negligible. It's the difference between me cutting weight or not personally. I weigh 107.5lbs naturally, yes I'm tiny.

Benavidez is 22 yo... did you look at his size and body frame?... he soon can't make 168 in a healthy manner...

Benevidez is with PBC. His little brother is with top rank.

And I forgot Zurdo came back down. He threw a fit about being stripped, said he only wanted to test out 175. Wouldn’t be surprised if he left Top rank over that TBH.

Well, 154 is more recent also, but at least it’s a more respectable stop. 147 to 160 is an insane jump. Really makes you respect SRR more for winning the MW championship at 150lbs and almost winning the LHW championship too!

I was agreeing with you. I was saying that I expect him to move up in a few years
