Jake Donavan, what do you think about Billy Joe Saunders vs Dmitry Bivol at 168? They're both a bit avoided, they should fight each other in October. Do you think it can happen?

You would think with Whyte having failed a drug test and the cloud hanging over match room especially with the Miller outcome he would avoid BJS like plague because of his failed drug test, its not like Hearn is short of fighters his got a big stable, so why Eddie?Comment

Well it’s not for the lack of trying on his part i think. That’s why he left Warren, because he wasn’t delivering the big fights.
He has signed contracts to fight Canelo and GGG in the past and it never happened.
Warren has also been unable to attract opposition. I think Matchroom basically laughing at the offer he made to Callum Smith has made Saunders realise he needs to jump ship to get fights.
It’s a good move. At least it shows he wants good fights and wants to be active.Comment

I can’t see it happening.
I can’t see Bivol coming down to 168 for anyone but Canelo. Bivol is already a world champ at 175, so he doesn’t need the belt Saunders has. He won’t get paid a lot to fight Saunders and might just end up in a very tricky fight for a title he doesn’t need and not a great payday.
And the same goes for Saunders really, he will be after big money fights. He’s probably better at 160 than 168, so i can’t see him fighting a 175 guy like Bivol when he can probably get in the mix at 160 for bigger money.
Doesn’t really make any sense i think.Comment

He's been with BJS a long time, the split must be of some annoyance to him. Especially with Arum having a say with Fury now.
I remember going to a card years back that had a load of Warren fighters on : DeGale, P.Smith, L.Smith, Brook, Bellew, Cleverly, Macklin. (I think they were supposed to show an overseas Chisora fight on the big screen in the arena too).
BJS was fighting and must of been real young at the time. The last one standing from that card.
The Smith fight looks the one to make.
A Eubank rematch would be good. Although I don't know if that one comes about with Eubank trying to become a PPV figure on ITV.Comment
