Ref. Steve Willis goes deep on Dadashev, says there was a pre-existing injury

Nicely uploaded by Fight Hype. Some of it I believe can be true, but I think some boxers have too much adrenaline that overpowers fight or flight.

Nicky Blackwell took too much punishment... we saw what happened. He kept going even with a crazy hematoma.

I disagree with Willis, though I enjoyed his perspective and agreed with much of what was said, but I don’t think Dadashev had a injury coming in. Anybody else?

How does he know that Dadashev had a pre existing injury? That would be negligence from the state. He needs to be careful with what he says.

Getting licensed should be strict, like getting into the military. With more regulations there'd be less fighters, but also less deaths. Another thing... why not have 1.5 minute breaks between rounds? The brain is more likely to swell up when it doesn't get enough oxygen. Increase the breaks to 1.5 mins and the fighters would have a lot more oxygen and better recovery.

It’s just his opinion. Though he says “..science has proven that..” to back his claim.

Some boxers got too much heart and adrenaline pumping. McGirt did beg him to fold. I imagine that when the brain swells it’s like a vice crushing all oxygen and nerves the body simply shuts down.

No, one thing I do know for certain is he had a tough weight cut and was suffering from severe dehydration alongside his brain injuries when taken to hospital. That certainly didn't help his punch resistance. They should shorten the amount of rounds as it is. 12 is too much, that's a lot of punishment to take. I'd say 8 is enough really.

My dad's a neurologist and he's told me some nasty **** about what happens. It's not even just destroying your nerves or cutting off oxygen. Swelling of the brain will induce all manners of issues such as severe vomiting, seizures, different brain functions just shutting down such as speech and motor control. Your breathing can stop, your heart can stop. Literally anything can happen if your brain is pressing against your skull like that. Your meninges would be so badly damaged by it. He doesn't really like the fact I enjoy boxing so much and that info he told me makes me hesitant of going pro for fear of it happening to me tbh. You take care out there too, no need to end up like Maxim for pride even if that pride can take you very far, it can take you very far down too. Six feet under to be precise.

Yeah by shutting down I meant a grim outcome. We’ve all seen how severe external bruises or hematomas happen in mere seconds in the ring. Like people with severe allergic reactions. There’s only so much space the skull can occupy. What’s crazy is even internal bleeding, if an organ fails and the tissue dies, if the toxin enters the blood stream it could also go to septic shock and death. I think that’s how Houdini died. Dude took a punch to the gut from I think a Heavyweight

If your hemmorhaging blood you better start praying if you believe in God or not. Houdini was an idiot, just plain ****** what he did. Should be given a posthumous Darwin Award.
