It's hard to believe Matchroom broke the story without talking to PBC/Ruiz. Maybe they did and they didn't agree, but Hearn went ahead anyway as he feels his signed rematch contract from Ruiz is all they need.

Looking at Lewis dispute when Rahman signed to fight someone else. There was 7 months and a court case between the 2 fights.
