Joshua was coming over here for money. Plain and simple. Wanted to get his exposure up in the US so that when he did finally decide to fight Wilder the fight would be worth as much as possible. He lost by stoppage to a huge underdog. Plans changed. His priority is to win vs Ruiz, and he’s afraid to do that in the US. Just like someone else said, he’s also to chicken sh** to deal with the backlash of having the fight in the UK, so he’s leaving money on the table by having the fight somewhere it has no business taking place. I hope his UK fans get what from him what he owes them.

No, he went to the US to chase the undisputed fight with Wilder. All the other noise was Hearn trying to build hype for the fight and use AJ’s for his Matchroom America thing. AJ doesn’t care about America and conquering the place - left to him, he doesn’t want to fight there, hence he never signed a long contract with DAZN.
