There’s a probably Fixed fights
What I think is the more common wide spread tactic in big fights to slant the fight ridiculously in the A-sides favour and barring a complete shutout or KO will get the Win
1 Judge will score every conceivable round to the A-Side often making it appear they filled out their scorecard before the fight started
A 2nd Judge will give any Possible round even 1-2 they clearly didn’t deserve for the A-Side / Almost always giving as many of the First 8 rounds in their favour and they will always get the 12th / Giving the A-Side a comfortable lead and almost guarantees at least a draw
3rd Judge scores somewhat fairly but still will give 1-2 rounds the A-Side didn’t deserve to them
Now you have almost setup a system where it’s almost impossible fornthe A-Side to lose if it’s even a somewhat competitive fight /
if it’s a damn near shut out and there’s no possible way the A-Side should win at least 2 Judges will give the A-Side at least 4-5 rounds making it appear like a close fight
Couple Cards that come to mind that played out exactly one of these 2 ways
Fury /Klitschko - 2 Judges gave Klitschko 4 rounds
Donaire / Rigondeaux - 1 Judge gave Donaire 5 Rounds Another gave him 4
Canelo vs Take Your Pick Golovkin / Lara / Mayweather
Hurd / Williams - 2 Judges gave Hurd 5 rounds 3rd gave him 4Comment

Absolutely not.... because they don't need to be.
Favorable influences on judges and being able to get actual video of opponents and info on their level of opposition faced in the internet era has pretty much eliminated the need for matchmakers to fix fights for guys they're building up.
As for big fights in US? No. Absolutely not. When we talk about televised fights that are/were fixed, I'm of the opinion that the last one that ever happened was in 1992. Mickey Rourke vs Darrell Miller in Tokyo. It may not have been the last last one, but it signified the end of that whole era.
THAT is what a fixed fight looks like. A go KOing another guy off grazing karate-chop eque slap. And look at Miller's power shots: he's jerking his shoulders out all wide to make it look like he's really throwing something, but when the punch gets there he's just slapping the side of Rourke's head. And this is a guy who basically only won fights against fighters in their debut, as much of a tomato can as one could find in 1992. Still fixed it.... you can still see him pull his punches and slow them down when theyre halfway to landing at points.
So many times in boxing where a guy goes down off an awkward/grazing shot (Matthyse vs that Thai guy) people want to say the fight was fixed, nine time out of ten the guy that went down off that awkward shot was landing BOMBS trying KO his opponent the round before.
If a guy took money to throw a fight, he wouldnt be landing power shots on his opponents face throughout the fight... because we all know a big punch, even a grazing one, can be all it takes sometimes. Instead, the guy will be throwing silly punches like Darrell Miller in the below video.
Boxers don't have life meters like in videogames, man. These guys have no idea what kinda punch the other one can take until they land clean on one another. If you're watching a fight and the guy that got KO'd landed a solid, clean right on his opponent before going down, it wasn't fixed.

I don't doubt there are fixed fights happening, but I doubt its happening very often & much less often with name guys.
I think the fixed fights that happen in boxing is 99% done by matchmaking. We see 20-0 guys fighting 3-12 guys all the time. We see a top 3 guy in a division fight the #47th guy in the world. We see top 10 guys fighting the #198th guy in the world. Those are most of the fixed fights happening in boxing.Comment

The Canelo vs Jacobs fight was not fixed. They were evenly matched and fought a close fight that was just an average fight. In what way was it fixed? Canelo is the money man so if the fight were fixed then Canelo should win by a smashing KO not a dull points win. Canelo made 35 million and Jacobs made over 10 million so who has enough money to fix that fight when they are already making that much money? Few if any big fights are fixed.Comment

For what reason???????? Who benefits from AJ suffering a humiliating defeat? Why would that ending be better than the expected ending of AJ winning by KO? Explain if you can because I can't see how AJ losing on purpose benefits anyone or makes anyone more money.AJ makes these gigantic paychecks by knocking guys out so why would he lose on purpose?Comment

heres why.aj been getting alot of heat for not facing deontay he knows he has no chance of beating deontay so why not stall a bit with doing a rematch with Ruiz.joshua knows he'll easily beat Ruiz in a rematch then everything will be restored but by in the meantime deontay will be booked with fights.good stalling tactics by hearn an Joshua because once deontay gets them belts he want be able to get them back.and I truly think there trying to stall and let deontay age 4 as long as possibleFor what reason????????
