The 5-1 odds means they're trying to get people to put money on Porter. That doesn't mean Porter sucks.
Porter is a 5-1 underdog vs Spence. How disrespectful

Seen that. I'm a big Spence fan, but he shouldn't be that big of a favorite here. Definitely a dog or pass betting situation & if I was big on Porter I'd be all over this.Comment

put your money down, then. spence can f#cking fight. he's a better boxer than porter and he's got a lot of power. he's literally still getting better. he's left handed and he's going to find porter on his way in. porter has not fought a lefty since devon alexander in 2013! he won't win the boxing match on the outside, definitely won't win the slugfest, wtf is he gonna do other than hope the ref lets him clinch ridiculously and tire spence out or mug him?Comment

Sounds about right. The difference in skill is obvious. Unless Porter lands a lucky headbutt this should be easy work for Spence. The fight community clowns Wilder for his lack of technical skills, but Shawn Porter is probably the sloppiest fighter in boxing.Comment

this is exactly right. 5-1 means that nobody is betting porter and they want to take less money on spence.
TS is more than welcome to put money on the fight. 5-1 are usually the kind of odds you see when a guy in his prime fights somebody on his way out. porter looks like he's in his prime. it is called ********.Comment

Sounds about right.
Porter arguably lost his last fight and usually comes up just short when he steps up to near the top level, i.e Thurman and Brook.
Anyway, the odds will probably be closer come fight night if people are taking these odds on Porter.Comment
