The current situation in the heavyweight division

We all have our opinions on who is the best, the top 5, top 10, etc. Here is the list of title holders, and likely coming fights.

    LINEAL - Tyson Fury

    WBC - Deontay Wilder

    WBA - Andy Ruiz JR

    WBO - Andy Ruiz JR

    IBF - Andy Ruiz JR

SNICKERS BELT - Andy Ruiz JR

    Upcoming fights:

Deontay Wilder vs Luis Ortiz - WBC

Tyson Fury vs Otto Wallin - LINEAL

Andy Ruiz JR vs Anthony Joshua - WBA, WBO, IBF

Andy Ruiz vs TBC - SNICKERS BELT

So assuming Wilder and Fury both win - They will face each other in a rematch for 2 of the 6 major belts - LINEAL and WBC

Let's say Fury wins (replace with Wilder if you wish) - he now has the LINEAL and the WBC belts.

And let's assume as expected that Andy Ruiz knocks AJ into retirement. Then he has the WBA, WBO, IBF AND SNICKERS BELT. But SNICKERS haven stated that they are going to call for an immediate mandatory defence of the belt after the Joshua fight, and the fight must take place before April 1st.

Giving that Fury and Wilder's rematch will be about that time, then that will delay Fury and Ruiz fighting for all 6 belts until around July, and Ruiz will have to defend his SNICKERS BELT beforehand. All great as long as he wins, but let's say he loses, then Ruiz will have to rematch, let's say Pulev for his Snickers belt in the Summer.

Then Tyson Fury will have to fight someone for his five belts, leaving the possibility of Fury vs Ruiz/Pulev for all 6 belts around October 2020, but by then, Fury will have so many mandatory challenges to his 5 belts, that he may have to defend them before being able to fight for the SNICKERS BELT.

Which may mean we could have to wait until Summer 2021 until we have a unified (all six belts champion) One man, one face.

AJ destroys Ruiz in the rematch and both Wilder and Fury will go back to hiding/ducking.

2020: AJ vacates the WBO belt and Usyk fights Dillian WHyte or Fury for the belt. Wilder gets knocked the **** out and he returns to obscurity in Alabama.

2021: AJ and Fury fight for the undisputed in Vegas and AJ destroys Fury in less than 9 rounds to become the Undisputed Heavyweight Champion of the World.

      Lets not assume anything.

      But I will predict:-

      1. Ruiz beats Joshua in rematch but then vacates IBF.

      2. Pulev fights Fury for IBF so Fury can have an actual belt and get revenge for his home-boy Hughie.

      3. Ruiz and Wilder have unification bout. Ends in a contentious draw at the Staples Centre, both talk about a rematch but then Ruiz signs a 3 fight deal with ESPN to fight Charles Martin, Manuel Charr and Robert Helenius exclusively in Tuscaloosa.

      4. Joshua becomes WBC Mando after final-final-final eliminator with Whyte who gets a pass for his positive B sample.

      5. Joshua beats Wilder but WBC decide that Joshua should have a do-over and do a final-final-final eliminator and they reinstate Wilder because he is franchise champion/their boy.

      6. Ruiz and Joshua complete the trilogy, but Ruiz fails a drugs test retrospectively and is hung, drawn and quartered and left for the crows at the Tower of London. Whyte eats Ruiz's left leg and then fails another drugs test due to a contaminated bit of Mexican meat that Ruiz consumed before his demise.

      7. Wilder talks smack about anyone and everyone before Hearn kills him in a hit and run after Wilder is a guest commentator for Joshua v Ruiz III.

Can't be too far off, right?
