Seriously is this what we consider a boxing fan? Someone who is aligned to a particular network/stable of fighters? Moronic threadComment

I'm counting since they're getting paid for their fights from Fox. Not when they were paying to put on fights. When they were paying they were doing that to collect data to take to the networks to show them there is an audience for boxing and to get a network fee. Top Rank got their deal based off the data collected by ESPN from PBC paying to put fights on there. That’s 3...in how many years?
Admittedly, my source is that pbc shill who used to post here...wbo ibf or whatever. Either way, if they were intent on doing more ppvs, I wish they’d stick to showtime...fox has a cheap feel to it and lacks the presentation and production value.Comment

Oh, fo sho! Na sayin? Real ni99az do real thangs. War Haymon.Listen, PBC is by 6 miles the #1 PPV firm on the planet, they generate more money than anyone else.
Think about it.
Wilder/Fury/ Manny/Broner, Spence/Garcia, Manny/Thurman, while not really stacking up against the Mayweather era, these fights generated revenue relative to expenses, in some cases a lot of it, now PBC owns boxing PPV, Matchroom can put on all the crappy $25 PPV's they want, they are not making the money PBC has in just 4 shows.
Now they are slaying regular TV with BS cards that many boxing people have low expectations of.
Not only is the PBC the king of American boxing, they are the kings period, they have generated more money MANY times over than any other promotional firm in the world since their inception, and they are just getting their feet wet.
Everyone called it a failed experiment, "Haymon wasted so much money", "PBC will never work" etc.
Well, at this rate, PBC is going to be the UFC of boxing, it's going to swallow everything, DAZN's business model is f^cked up, they have to cap the amount of money fighters make per fight while also relying on a Netflix model that will never work in combat sports.
Top Rank does not have the horses, the stable is weak as f%%%, as is Golden Boys, Matchroom's financial backing will not last long, DAZN will have to get out of boxing, the amount of the money they have spent, and the return is not sustainable, plus, they don't have boxing people making the decisions, people that have worked in, and know the sport.
This Canelo situation never takes place at Showtime, or Fox, we can agree on that.
PBC reigns supreme, to the point, that they can put on a D class undercard, and a C- main event, and rock out to the tune of 2 million people, that's insane, and terrifying for the competition that lacks the talent, the star power, and the depth to compete with PBC long term.
Haymon has won, if you haven't noticed already, and at the pace he is signing fighters, with all the stars he has carefully cultivated, nobody will be able to touch him for at least 10 years, maybe longer.
I would imagine that when the fox and showtime contracts are up, Haymon will sell some of his equity for anywhere between $500 million to a billie, reinvest in the company, and make it 10 times the size it is now.
All hail the kings.Comment
