Why is Canelo going through all of this not to fight GGG

I feel like the whole public "beef" with Golden Boy is nothing but smoke and mirrors. Could be true, but I wouldn't be surprised if the two come out as best friends again once they come to an agreement on their next fight which could very well be Kovalev. Someone shared a theory that maybe Canelo is trying to cycle off banned substances? Is this too far fetched? Serious responses by the way.
Secondly, I do believe that Canelo is avoiding GGG out of spite. Not because he's afraid of him, but because he simply doesn't like him.Comment

If you really want a laugh, I'll confess that I have no idea how post links.
However, there are numerous articles online detailing Canelo relinquishing his title because wouldn't adhere to he called "artificial deadlines", known to the rest of the world as his WBC mandatory. He then went on to fight Chavez Jr at 164. This was in 2016. Google "Canelo vacates WBC" to see what I'm talking about.
While we're dealing in straight answers, since when did a champion lose his title after 24 rounds and have to "earn" a chance to win them back?Comment

I ain't even bull****ting 😄. Confirmed Luddite/Old Fart over here. But please feel free to check out the articles I suggested and/or post links that disprove what I'm saying.
Also, I'm still interested as to why a guy who loses his title over 24 rounds needs to earn a rematch.Comment
