    It's time.

It was a great fight, but he broke his hand and didn't get the W. So if he does decide to come back, he has to rehab his hand and then go through another training camp or two to face low-level guys for short money, just to work his way back up to getting to fight some fresh, undefeated young heavyweight and try to upset him. You can only do that so many times in your career before youre just not motivated anymore, and Chris has already done it a lot.

Last night was a great night of boxing and as good a performance as any to go out on. Chris doesn't owe anybody anything. Call it a day.

But, saying that, Chris was always with a smaller promoter and didn't make anywhere near what a lot of guys did in his career. If he gets the call to be a late replacement for a Joseph Park or Joy Joyce or something in the next few years and the money is right, he should definitely take it.

With all due respect, who cares.
If he does retire we all know he will come back when money gets low

Best Chris Areola performance I have ever seen. Goosen made a huge difference. He should continue fighting the Dereck Chisoras and Joseph Parkers of the division...if he stays with Goossen. 2 more fights.

                This^^^^^ and then I realized I was watching a guy, who quit vs klithoe.... he’s not a Mexican, he’s a poncho Mexican’T.

Ruiz jr is a Mexican period... a real Mexican would rather die than submit..

As a proud wanna be Mexican *** boy, I thought Chris would be the first heavyweight Mexican champ, but, he just couldn’t seize the moment. Andy Ruiz jr ... seized that moment.

I’m not criticizing Chris, I’m a self check choke artist..

I can make someone else king, but I choke under pressure..

Ruiz seized that moment... guys who can’t... slip into obscurity.

These has-beens should retire from having championship dreams.

They have a right to earn a living in the one filed they're ''good'' at.

If Ruiz fought Klitschko, Stiverne (that version at least), and Wilder... he’d be introduced as “a three time world title challenger” as well.

Is what it is. Chris has a great career and gave us a lot of fun fights: Walker, Adamek, Aguilera, Molina, Mitchell’s, Stiverne, Harper, etc. in an era where heavyweight boxing was not all that exciting. Nothing but respect for him.
