If these two do fight, it will be a unification bout so the 10 pound limit will not come in play. Can Pacquiao ask for it? Sure he can, but I doubt he will.
This ^^^^^ Spence is what, a lb or two under 170 lbs fight night. Pac is two lbs bigger.l

Spence is young, big, and vibrant.. guys like him, are just bigger, better, faster, harder, stronger..

    PAC
Needs to force Spence to man up, and not use loop holes and clauses to come in big and strong... unnaturally strong.

Ask for a later weigh in then exactly what?
The point is, if PAC has the leverage why not use it? Whether it’s ten pounds an hour prior to fight or five pounds morning of the fight. Fighters should not be allowed to enter the right more than one weight clsss higher than the sanctioned boat. So for a 147 fight, you can’t be more than 154 entering the ring. At 155 you are considered a middleweight which is two classes above.

He can very well ask for a ten pound rehydration clause if he wants. A five pound rehydration clause gets laughed at in negotiations and Haymon isn't going to try to kill his younger star.
I wouldn’t call Spence young. He is almost Thurman’s age. but if he wants the fight he has to pay the price or manny should just fight danny or Mikey Garcia

yes this is very resonable. spence is known to rehydrate to the low to mid 170s. completely disgusting. weight bully needs to be taught a lesson.

... and there would also result the need for a new weight class at 185lb, for instance...

He can't use no ten pounds an hour prior to the fight. Please find me one example of that EVER being agreed upon. You can have morning rehydration clauses but that is about it.

I'm willing to bet majority of the WWs enter the ring over 155 pounds.

Are you now trying to change the rules of boxing or something? So if you fight at 118, you can't be more than 122 for a fight?

If you could make weight for that particular weight class, then you are good to go. There are disadvantages of trying to kill yourself to make weight. It could impact your ability to take a punch or your stamina in the late rounds.

Pacquiao could ask for a ten pound rehydration clause if he wants and that may get accepted.

*younger star is what was said.....Which he is just that.

If he wants the fight, he has to pay the price? According to who? You? LMAO, settle down there.

Let's see how this plays out. Pacquiao will be the A-side and could ask for certain things, but no one knows what he will ask for, if anything. More than anything, I'm sure he will ask for a higher guarantee than what he has been getting.

He's talking about a 152 pound rehydration clause for Spence the morning of the fight.
