Check out his fight with Jose Luis Ramierez, Chavez hit Ramierez with some murderous punchs and Ramierez only went down once, it was a good fight. Chavez was really on in that fight, he was showing a lot of skills. I wish i could show Jr. his dads fight with Ramierez, to show him that its ok to bob and weave, to give movement if you have to or to set up punchs.

Ramierez is a very under-rated Mexican fighter. I've been watching some of his fights latley and damn, compa was a baddass fighter, very calm fighter in the sence of Sanchez calm.

I think ramirez was great also but he is just 1 of those guy who always came up short.He KOed Rosario badly and handed Pernel his first lost.

yea, ive had that fight on my computer for like 5 years, and i still watch it on a weekly basis. short and sweet!

It was better than the first. A lot of hype behind the rematch because Mayweather was knocking out Mexicans left and right till he was stopped by none other.

True.

Chavez use to have fast hands, and that right hand was a bullet. Good fight.

Mario Martinez was a very tough top fighter at the time Chavez beat him and was still succesfull afterwards.

IMO, he got robbed against Arguello, i still havn't seen his fight with Mancini, he has good showing against Edwards too. Tough skilled fighter.
