Comments Thread For: Arreola: If I Lose To Kownacki, No More Reason To Be In The Sport

Given the hype surrounding his rise to heavyweight contention, Chris Arreola has never been forced to settle for the B-side other than in his three shots at a major title. Saturday's bout versus unbeaten contender Adam Kownacki marks the first time in a non-title fight where he has been relegated to such status, with the bout taking place at Barclays Center in Kownacki's Brooklyn (N.Y.) home base.

    OK.

So it's a second-round knockout win for Kownacki, and Arreola subsequently employed as a ringside analyst with a percentage of five "fùck" every 20 words or so during the telecasts.

He was never very good anyway. Vitali schooled him 10 years ago. Stiverne beat him twice, Wilder stopped him, even Adamek beat him. His best win is Molina.

Fought for WBC belt three times. A big success for that level of fighter.

Kownacki can fight like hell. If he ever decides to train down in weight to around 230lbs he can beat any heavyweight alive. No doubt about it.🥊

Kownacki and Ruiz are both amazing talents. No doubt they will never be body beautiful types but I do wish they would control their diets more and actually train down to fight in the 230-245 range. Their hands would be even faster, stamina would be even better, and they would have more explosiveness. Both should employ dieticians/chefs for their training camps. Both of them can afford it.
