Comments Thread For: Andy Ruiz on Facing Joshua in UK: That's Not Going To Happen!

IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz is standing firm with respect to his position of not fighting in the UK. Back on June 1 at Madison Square Garden in New York City, Ruiz dropped Joshua four times before the contest was waved off in the seventh round.

    Lawsuit coming...

Yes the rematch clause is surely legally binding. But watch him file a lawsuit that delays it, giving time for an easy first defense prior. Imagine Hearn dealing with that - plus what’s sure to be a Rivas lawsuit.

Im sure Ruiz wants to hold on to that strap, but lets just say he refuses to rematch overseas and hearn refuses to waver and Ruiz gives up the belt. That still leaves Joshua the odd man out. If Ruiz, Fury and Wilder all fight each other, the division will forget about Joshua. I feel like Ruiz has all the leverage here.

Unless those organization make Fury and Joshua their number 1 & 2 contenders for the dropped belts. Neither guy has a title so they can easily be moved up to the top spots for a big money fight.

Fury can make loads of money in a fight vs Joshua and may see it as an easier fight than the Wilder rematch.

Ruiz is worthless to wilder if he doesnt hold those titles.

That Top Rank scenario sounds very familiar, in fact, I've heard that story many times before, only from other fighters.

          Thank you Al Haymond.

Be smart Ruiz ... Don't go to the UK. Its a TRAP!

There goes that ship. More mismatches while things get sorted. AJ is letting Hearn change his words, again. AJ said MSG, he said it, but now Hearn is pushing his agenda and AJ is silent. AJ wasn't serious, he knew Hearn would try to take it home all the time. The problem is, UKAD has spooked everybody. Nobody trusts them, add the glove issue and Andy has real concerns

Hearns about to have to go to court against Ruiz and Rivas!

What a day to see two scumbags squirm like maggots on a corpse in Burn with Hearns and Oscar Dela Fishnets!

              Just splendid

What I don't understand is if Joshua came and fought in Ruiz backyard why can't he fighting his? And don't talk to me about decisions because bad decisions in boxing happen everywhere.

Joshua could get caught using Peds couple days before the fight and Eddie Hearn will have him cleared to fight without notifying Ruiz jr., that's what's at stake
