Are you trolling or just slow??? their purses have 0 to do with a purse bid..no one is going to bid $50 million for a damn fight...lol what they get has 0 to do with him or a purse bid..their deals are with DANZ and Danz is not a promoter

A guy that never has made more than 1m is supposed to get 15m? He priced himself out simple as that.

He can take the millions he is offered or he will not get either a Canelo fight or a GGG fight then he will be fighting some nobody for the vacant belt for 300k.

They overplay their hand and the kid will lose a few million bucks that he may never get back.

Everyone should just pay up now or be forced to later.
You are confusing a purse bid with negotiations. The following is from Wikipedia:

For championship belt fights under a given sanctioning body (WBC, WBA, WBO, IBF, etc), the two fighters' (champion and challenger) promoters/managers usually get together to establish an agreement for how much each side will receive. In situations where the two sides can't agree, it will sometimes go to a "purse bid" where the process is opened up to any promoter that would like to put on the fight. They submit bids for how much they're willing to pay in purses and the highest bidder wins the right to put on the fight. In such cases, the champion usually gets a higher percentage and the challenger a lower percentage and the total purse is simply split between the two by formula.

The logic of your thread works, unlike others are saying, but only if contractual guarantees have to be included in purse bids and the other fighter has to receive a percentage not just of any random winning bid, but of a winning bid large enough to equate his percentage with the contractual guarantee of the other fighter from his network.

And I sort of doubt it works like that, which is why all the people disagreeing with you are probably right. But instead of trolling and criticizing, people should try to figure this out one way or another so that we know for sure.

****** poster. No wonder boxing is dying. Everyone wants retirement pay. Even the more established fighters are content getting $1 - 2 million. Who would want to fight tough fights now with this ridiculous nonsense unless they get paid tens of millions of dollars?

                    This sport is fkd.
