    Hypothetical over a false assumption.
    Great.

Again, there was no rehydration clause in that fight.
Go ahead prove it. Wait, you can't because there wasn't one.
All was agreed was 145 at the weigh-in.

Cotto was so worried about his weight in that fight, he was happily eating BBQ during camp.
    All on 24/7.

Back then veterans were lucky to go the distance, you;re clueless if you think green Canelo with his sht stamina goes the distance with Pacquiao because Margarito, Clottey and Mosley did.

Cotto was the champ but Pac was the shotcaller
            So was Leonard against Hagler.
            And your point is ?

Larry Holmes came in the ring before Gerry Cooney.
I filed a protest with the Smithsonian then.

Did Floyd make less than Baldomir ? Floyd made 8M to 1.6M by Baldomir.
Why was Floyd the shot caller ?

Pac has more than made up with CW against cotto. Having countless fights since so he's allowed a dipping his toes in division cw.
What's floyds excuse for cw against green nelo? Retired immediately after wants no hardship or adversity and to escape with unbeaten record!

In 2013 Pacquiao was coming off the Marquez KO. If he fought Canelo at that time Canelo would have likely slept him as well. Canelo would be the most powerful fighter Manny has ever faced. Canelo in 2012 walked through Josesito Lopez like wet tissue while Keith Thurman went life and death with Josesito Lopez in 2018. Canelo is a far superior fighter than Thurman is and if Thurman can land a record setting number of power punches on Manny Canelo would work Manny.

Oh the triangle theories again. The lopez who fought Thurman had improved and Thurman underestimated Lopez.
CW green Nelo isn't better than Thurman.

I would have always liked Canelo by knockout, he possessed many of the tools that would have troubled Pacquiao, namely the lead straight right hand and the counter right. Quick enough on the trigger and good enough hand speed that I'd struggle to see it any other way. Of course size plays a major role in that.
